Kalavinka x Adidas Samba

Adidas has put in a lot of effort into representing cities all over the world with their Consortium “City Series” Collection, with Tokyo retailers and artists playing a large part. Kalavinka is the next in line with this Samba, having taken a classic soccer shoe and transformed it into a cycling sneaker.
White leather comprises the upper on these, with a hit of grey nubuck on the toe cap. Royal blue stripes appear on the mid-panel, and a strip of multiple colors is used on the heel. The design element you probably notice first is the large lace cover flap, which is part of the cycle-readiness conversion of these. These have hit select retailers.

Adidas Consortium “Your City” Series, part 3

In the third installment of the Adidas Consortium “Your City” Series, Europe, Canada and Japan are all paid tribute and given their own collaborations, as the sneaker giant has paired with a shop in each city.
The Adidas Tokio is done here by VA, a shop out of Tokyo. This sneaker uses an all black upper, mixing ripstop nylon and leather on the toes. Yellow accents are used for the lace loops and a white midsole finishes them off. Toronto’s Livestock went to town on this runner with a load of grey in suede and other choice materials. Blue is used for accents, and an orange heel patch pops off the darker colour-up. The London is done here by Crooked Tongues in a dark grey, while red stripes and gold are used throughout, including the top eyelet. Finally, the adidas Paris is done by Colette, who chose a clean white base for their project. The stripes are done with multiple colours on the stripes, which use a polka dot pattern. All four shoes also feature special tags, representing for each shop and their hometown.
