Timex® Continues Expansion of Popular Expedition® WS4™ Collection
Timex has unveiled two new additions to the highly successful Timex® Expedition® WS4™ collection. The innovative watch and adventure instrument, renowned for its revolutionary widescreen dashboard and fresh approach to outdoor intelligence, will now be available worldwide in authentic green military camouflage and white/grey camouflage styles. The WS4 watch includes an altimeter, barometer, thermometer and compass, expertly encased in a widescreen dashboard for precise, convenient intelligence at a glance. Rugged, intuitive and boldly stylish, the WS4 watch is designed to perform under the most extreme conditions and help navigate any terrain. It also serves as a versatile timepiece, chronograph, alarm and timer.
“The new Timex Expedition WS4 Camo styles make the collection even more versatile and appealing for a wider range of outdoor lifestyles,” said Gavin Crilly-McKean, Managing Director at Timex. "The WS4 represents a paradigm shift in how everyone from the occasional skier to the most advanced alpinist uses technology to guide their adventures.” Initially launched in May 2009 in five bold colors, the Timex Expedition WS4 collection was recently expanded to include XL Elastic Strap and Carabiner varieties. The addition of the two new camouflage colors rounds out the WS4 collection with a total of nine distinct styles.
The Timex Expedition WS4 watch is named for its signature widescreen display and four critical outdoor functions. The WS4 technology is sealed in a lightweight composite casing, and fortified with a stainless steel bezel for the ideal combination of mass and durability. The Timex Expedition WS4 is available for purchase internationally and at sports specialty retailers. The Timex Expedition WS4 Camo styles will be available around the world in May 2010.
The Timex Expedition® brand offers a broad range of collections suited for the outdoors. The Timex Expedition portfolio includes collections that are engineered specifically to aid in outdoor adventures, as well as pieces designed to stylishly capture the outdoor lifestyle in everyday settings.
