Drawing inspiration from the feral of Asian concrete jungles, New Balance’s new design initiative in Asia-Pacific of the 999 re-issue features collaborations with two premium retailers of Asia, Leftfoot (Singapore) and Mita Sneakers (Japan). The collection features four designs in two sets, based on animals such as Black Crow, Peacock, Mouse and Lion.
INVINCIBLE EAST will be releasing two of the designs, MC999BKC “Black Crow” and MC999PKC “Peacock” on September 12th along with other item drops such as OriginalFake. The MC999BKC is entirely black and the upper is crafted from a mix of nubuck, leather and faux pony hair, paying tribute to the bandit of the sky; the MC999PKC incorporates the blue and green from peacock feathers into a gradient blue/turquoise/green fade on the rear panel, mixed in with black nubuck on the front.
