Adidas Originals by Originals - Kzk- Vulcanised Boot

The Adidas Originals by Originals Collection continues to drop new products this season including this new Kazuki collaboration Vulcanised Boot that features a leopard print that uses horse hair on the entire upper of the shoe. Kazuki, who is affiliated with Hiroshi Fujiwara’s fragment design, recently worked with adidas on the 80s Campus that used the same material and print. These new Vulcanised Boot’s that Kazuki worked with Adidas Originals on features a Black and White vulcanised outsole with a mid cut upper that gives the shoe a clean aesthetic and something that we wouldn’t expect to see from Adidas, as there are no signs of the three stripes on the upper of the shoe. Kanye West Posts Second Apology to Taylor Swift for VMAs Outburst

Kanye West took to his blog once again today to apologise to Taylor Swift in a short, uncharacteristically lower-case post that referenced his outburst in the middle of Swift’s acceptance speech for Best Female Video at last night’s MTV Video Music Awards. “I feel like Ben Stiller in Meet the Parents when he messed up everything and Robert DeNiro asked him to leave…,” Kanye writes. “That was Taylor’s moment and I had no right in any way to take it from her. I am truly sorry.”

West posted an all-caps apology to Swift on his blog last night, though it wasn’t a total mea culpa (his “apology” essentially reiterated what West said on the VMAs stage: “I’m in the wrong for going on stage and taking away from her moment!… Beyonce’s video was the best of this decade!”) The original post featuring Kanye’s apology generated such a traffic jam that his blog ultimately crashed, and when it finally came back online, the apology had been erased.

It’s going to take much more than a comparison to Meet The Parents — a comedy! — for West to redeem himself in light of last night’s event, which was viewed by millions and started an Internet comment storm. For starters, West can use his still-scheduled appearance tonight with Jay-Z and Rihanna on the premiere episode of The Jay Leno Show to apologise to Swift in front of an even-bigger television audience. Then he can enroll in anger management classes that help people control their sudden outbursts. West’s shocking onstage intrusion left Swift in tears backstage after winning the Best Female Video award while West was booted from Radio City Music Hall.

Def Jam x adidas Superstar II – 25th Anniversary Collection – Redman

Brick-City icon Redman has long been a favorite among hip-hop heads, and now Adidas has given the Funk Doctor his own version of the iconic shell-toe Superstar. Most of the upper is blood-red, while the collar, laces, and small band around the thick rubber sole is a lighter, almost orange coloured red. A comic-styled likeness of Redman adornes the tongue, his name is on the sole of the heel, the painted “R” appears on the heel in what appears to be a clear gel print, and the silver logo on the heel says “Funk Doc”. Providing some nice updates on the Superstar, the sole bottom has a nice splatter pattern, while the shell toe stays with the traditional white. Black appears on the lining, laces, and on the three stripes.

Nike Sportswear x Dizzee Rascal - Air Max 90

Mercury Music Prize winning recording artist, Dizzee Rascal collaborated with Nike Sportswear and his long-time collaborator, Ben Drury (who had designed the art work of three of Dizzee Rascal’s albums) to release a limited edition Air Max 90, called “Tongue N’ Cheek”, corresponding with the artist’s fourth album drop. Developing the design based more on literal interpretation than figurative, the shoe tongue is pink, just like the anatomical tongue; also, the “u” in the embroidery of “tongue” takes the actual shape of the tongue. The rest of the shoes are kept clean in white premium grade soft leather and high knap suede. The toe box features perforated details which are carried through to the heel wrap. Other than the embroidery, the heel tab also gets some personalized design with an embossed reflective Dizzee man heel logo.

Dropping exclusively at Nike Sportswear London, the shoes will be available on Sep 18, just days before Dizzee’s fourth album release.

Timex X JK5 X

These are the days when Jack of all-trades get the edge– if you are good at all your trades, that is. Joseph Ari Aloi, also known to most as JK5, is such a man as he is a tattoo artist, a publisher, toy-maker and artist versatile in a wide range of mediums all rolled into one single being who lives and works in Brooklyn.

For the upcoming holiday season, JK5 partnered up with Timex to release a specially designed timepiece that is to be released at Barney’s CO-OP. Based on one of Timex’s classic digital watch silhouettes known for its square and slim shape, the small octagonal face features artfully cryptic tags that read “JK5″ and “Barneys” across the top, “Illuimate” on the sides, and “Love, Light, Create” on the bottom. The functions of such as “Reset” and “Mode” are highlighted with a glyph-like type treatment. The pink and blue type contrasted nicely with the black straps to highlight the designs without being over-the-top.

Rio Ferdinand #5 Magazine

England defender Rio Ferdinand recently launched his own online digital magazine, including a variety of exclusive interviews and features on a variety of topics of which fans of all the different arts can simply browse by and have a read.

#5 Magazine is totally free too and covers areas such as sport, music, film, personality and style. The launch issue is available now and includes interviews with 50 Cent, Cristiano Ronaldo, Mickey Rourke and Duffy.

Editor-at-large Ferdinand is delighted with the product and explains: “It's my number, but it’s everyone’s magazine.

“#5 Magazine is a chance to not only get closer to the football players and myself, but the people we interview.

“You’ll also see that we talk about different subject matters and don’t follow the same rules. With 50 Cent, we wanted to find out what he thought about President Obama. It was really interesting to hear his thoughts.

“I’ve met 50 Cent a few times and we were lucky that we were able to fit the interview in around his schedule. I didn’t want to talk about his upbringing though, or the number of times he’s been shot. Instead, we asked him about politics, success and his recent film Dead Man Running.”

With further issues in the pipeline, it certainly promises to be an interesting read and Ferdinand is already lining up more varied and interesting subjects.

Enjoy the the exclusive full length video from the launch day/night.
